1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site, independent of every government office. It does not hold official records, submit filings for visitors, retrieve agency files, or conduct an official background check.

Its role is to identify the custodians of Coosa County criminal records. Those sources include the sheriff, the criminal courts, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Bureau of Investigation Criminal Justice Information Services Division, and the Alabama Sex Offender Registry. Government inspection and copy rights under the Alabama Open Records Act, Ala. Code §§ 36-12-40 and 36-12-41, remain subject to legal access limits. Some pages also connect visitors to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of access, you agree not to:

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No information found here or through a linked tool may be used to threaten, stalk, intimidate, harass, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct is prohibited and may also violate the law. The Alabama Sex Offender Registry operates under the Alabama Sex Offender Registration and Community Notification Act, Ala. Code § 15-20A-1 et seq. Registry information serves public-safety awareness. It does not authorize vigilantism, discriminatory blacklisting, harassment, or any unlawful action against a registrant or an address.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Coosa County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It creates no consumer report, and neither the website nor its advertising partners offers a service for any consumer decision governed by that law. Information from these pages or a linked tool must not be used to:

• Obtain or use a consumer report without a lawful permissible purpose

• The website will always be available without interruption
• Every page will be free from errors, security flaws, or bugs
